Born on April 3, 1965, Sri V. V. Lakshmi Narayana is a distinguished individual with a multifaceted journey encompassing education, illustrious service in the Indian Police Service (IPS), and a profound commitment to social causes.

Educational Odyssey: A mechanical engineer by training, Sri V. V. Lakshmi Narayana earned his B.Tech from NIT Warangal, Telangana, followed by an M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Chennai. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Rural Development at the University of Bombay, his academic pursuits reflect a dedication to holistic knowledge and a deep understanding of societal needs.

Dedicated Service in the Indian Police Service: Joining the Indian Police Service in 1990 (Maharashtra Cadre), Sri V. V. Lakshmi Narayana's career spans pivotal roles, including Superintendent of Police in Gadchiroli, Nanded, and Pune, Commandant of the State Reserve Police Force in Pune, DCP in Mumbai and Pune, DIG of the Anti-Terrorism Squad in Mumbai, and Joint Director of the CBI in Hyderabad. His service is adorned with accolades, including the Internal Security Medal, Hard Duty Medal, Indian Police Medal for Meritorious Service, and the prestigious Presidents Police Medal for Distinguished Services in 2017.

Awards and Recognition: Notably, Sri V. V. Lakshmi Narayana received the Mahatma Gandhi Peace Award from the Maharashtra State Minority Commission for his outstanding efforts in maintaining peace and communal harmony.

Social Impact Beyond Uniform: Beyond his law enforcement career, Sri V. V. Lakshmi Narayana has left an indelible mark through various social initiatives:

  1. Humanitarian Acts: Donating blood 61 times, exemplifying his commitment to saving lives.

  2. Environmental Stewardship: Planting 15,000 saplings, contributing to ecological preservation.

  3. Youth Engagement: Interacting with over 3 million youth through the Lead India initiative of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.

  4. Village Adoption: Transforming communities through the adoption of Chinamandadi, a village in Mehbubnagar, a tribal school in Bhinar near Bhiwandi, and villages in the kidney disease-affected Srikakulam and Vijayanagaram districts of Andhra Pradesh.
